AWESOME MIX of music!!!! Grunge, psychadelic experimental rock, grindcore etc etc.... an attempt at creating a cross-section of the Nash regulars. It was funny watching the crowd adjust and rock out to every different style of sound, and the DJs did a rad job too linking the bands together where possible!!! $5 entry, $2 pots, 6 bands and 4 DJs left everyone in awesome spirits that night! Ican and Oka teamed up with Face on Fire to bash out tunes under the name Face on Wolf, and gave us a show of gorish mutilation organised by Sam Hack. One of the better nights the pub had seen in a while...!!! STAY BRUTAL!!!

***SHOCKFACE NASH*** the EXHIBITION side of things

I CAN'T BELIEVE that we got all of that up on the wall within a couple of hours.... What a face lift for the recently baron walls of the Nash!!! Hopefully this will spur some others on to create some more flava in the front bar. I know there is a whole bunch of creative people hangin' there week in week out.... do something!!!! But anyway, that was the exhibition part of the SHOCKFACE event at the National Hotel. What was to come after doors to the band room opened is a whole other story and deserves a separate post!
Thanks to all the Nash crew for all their help and support during the entire duration of SHOCKFACE. If it wasn't for that place there would have been a big lull in our program. AND much of the momentum that we have gained up to date began there on this night. So, hats off to the National Hotel!

BRUTAL CROWD-SURFING-ZOMBIES-NASH MURAL-VIBES from start to finish.......

THE NATIONAL HOTEL was awesome enough to let us mural on their band room wall.... Crowd surfing psychadelic zombies for a pub that has plenty of metal, grindcore and experimental bands pass through- very suiting indeed! Four long days and nights saw the mural come together pretty quickly for the amount of crew who gave their time. I was pretty bummed though being in a band room and only having the old boys' wireless pumpin out tunes, but 80s disco mixed with jazz did a pretty good job of setting the mood!
